英語科スピーチコンテストを開催しました

中１　Recitation Contest

2023 年 2 月 8 日（水）6 時間目に Recitation Contest 決勝大会を実施しました。生徒たちは７つの物語から好きな ものを選び、物語ごとにグループを結成。ネイティブの先生方の音声をお手本に物語の役柄になり切るべく、感情 を込めて台詞を言う練習をしました。発音やイントネーション、声色を変えるなど工夫をこらしました。クラス内 予選後、選ばれた 14 名が頂点を競いあいました。以下がその物語です。

  7. The Crow in Peacock Feathers「孔雀の羽をつけたカラス」

中２　Show & Tell Contest

2023 年 2 月 15 日（水）6 時間目に、Show & Tell Contest 決勝大会を実施しました。「My Treasure」「My Favorite Thing」「The Person I Respect」の 3 つのテーマから 1 つを選び、クラス内予選を通過した 14 名（各クラス 2 名 ずつの代表者）が学年全体の前で発表を行いました。 どの生徒もスライドを上手に使いながら、自分が伝えたいことを熱く語っていました。甲乙をつけがたい争いでし たが、最終順位とは関係なく、全ての代表者に大きな拍手が送られました。

中３　Speech Contest

2023 年 2 月 8 日（水）6 時間目の LHR に、“中 3 Speech Contest”を実施しました。 中学第 3 学年では、毎年卒業論文を書き上げています。その内容を英語に直し、自分の興味のある事=what I ‘m interested in として英語の授業内で発表を行いました。各クラスより選ばれた 10 名の発表者が、最終的には学年全体の前で発表を行いました。以下発表内容です。

  5. A new type of Tax Education
  6. My ideas about car industries
  7. Karate and Me
  8. PC-9800 series, the computer that gave Japan the word “Note PC”

高１　Speech Contest

On February 15, 2023 the high school speech contest was held. Twelve boys competed this year. The speech topics were: Someone who has influenced you, Social Problem in Japan and Your life in 2033. Students had a choice of using Slides along with their speech or giving a speech without Slides. A majority of students chose to use Slides. This year we were lucky to have four fantastic judges. They were Mr. Sakuma, Mr. Kitamura, Ms. Masuda and Ms. Tomioka. Everyone remembered their speeches and performed well in front of their peers and teachers. Because of that, the judges had difficulties finding a clear winner. This year we surprisingly had two first place winners. We would like to thank all the high school teachers who made this event successful. We are looking forward to next year’s high school speech contest.
